P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon

P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon

January 20th 2013 10th annual Marathon and 1/2 Marathon
Start Times:
Marathon Start: 7:30 a.m.
1/2 Marathon Start: 7:30 a.m.

One of the best run marathons I have ever seen and the music along the way is pretty cool.

The P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon starts in Phoenix, goes through Scottsdale, and finishes in Tempe. Enjoy the live music (it is a rock n roll marathon after all) and with a bit of luck the warm desert winter. Keep in mind that in the mornings the desert can really cool off and even if its nice during the days it can be cold in the mornings so bring some running clothes for 30 degree weather. The Half Marathon starts from Downtown Tempe on Mill Ave & 3rd St. and the Marathon starts from Downtown Phoenix at CityScape. The all important finish line is on Packard Drive between ASU’s Sun Devil and Sun Angel Stadiums.

Parking and Transportation for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon

Both races start very close to a METRO Light Rail Station. Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon runners will want to use the 3rd Street and Washington/Jefferson Stations and Half Marathon runners will want to use the Mill Avenue & 3rd Street Station. The finish line is less than a 10 minute walk from the Metro Light Rail Station at 5th Street & College.

Why do the Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon?

Perfect running weather and flat courses run through three spectacular cities make for a world class running event, while numerous live bands, cheer squads and a free Headliner Concert make for a great event with a party atmosphere.
