Roosevelt Lake, Located in the Tonto Basin Valley, has a great year round fishery and camp grounds all around the lake. Tonto National Monument, located on the south west end of the lake, this is one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in the southwest.
I love the walking and biking trails through all of the neighborhoods. One of our favorite biking trails is Queen Creek Wash.
Canyon Lake is less than an hour drive from most cities in the east valley. So it is a natural place to play for all those who like to boat, ski, jet ski, fish, swim, hike or just skip rocks on the water.
The Peralta Trail is a good workout with great views. The view of Weaver’s Needle is spectacular and makes the hike worth the effort.
